This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity within the Banking Knowledge team, supporting a diverse finance practice through technical know-how, training and precedent development. The role offers broad exposure across multiple finance disciplines and close interaction with partners and fee earners at all levels.

Our client is a leading international law firm with a well-established Banking practice, advising on a broad range of complex financing transactions across multiple sectors. The firm places real emphasis on its Knowledge function, with PSLs playing a visible and integral role in supporting fee earners, driving best practice and contributing to innovation across the business.

Description

  • Acting as a go-to technical resource, supporting lawyers with queries across a range of Banking matters

  • Working across areas including corporate and leveraged finance, real estate finance, infrastructure, project and asset finance, and restructuring scenarios

  • Developing and maintaining precedents, guidance notes and other know-how materials

  • Supporting the design and delivery of internal training programmes

  • Monitoring legal and market developments and translating these into practical insights

  • Collaborating with partners and the wider team to enhance knowledge tools, processes and efficiency

Profile
  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with Banking & Finance experience

  • Strong technical grounding across a broad range of finance work

  • Experience (or interest) in knowledge/PSL work, including drafting and training

  • Confident communicator, able to engage with partners and senior stakeholders

  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams

  • Collaborative, proactive and interested in innovation and improving ways of working
