Job Title: Bank Therapeutic Support Worker – Children’s Residential Services
Location: Luton, Barton le Clay \& St Albans
Pay Rate: £13\.50 per hour
Job Type: Bank / Flexible Hours

About the Role

We are looking for compassionate and reliable Bank Therapeutic Support Workers to join our children’s residential services team in St Albans. This flexible role allows you to pick up shifts that fit your schedule while making a meaningful impact in the lives of young people. You’ll provide care, guidance, and emotional support to help children build confidence, resilience, and independence in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high\-quality care and therapeutic support to young people in a residential setting

  • Build trusting relationships that promote emotional wellbeing and stability

  • Encourage the development of life skills, independence, and confidence

  • Plan and participate in activities that engage and inspire young people

  • Work in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure the best outcomes

  • Maintain clear and accurate records in line with organisational and regulatory standards
Essential Requirements
  • At least 1 year’s experience working with young people in a residential or semi\-independent setting

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Ability to complete all onboarding checks (including Enhanced DBS)

  • Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills

  • Resilience and commitment to supporting young people who may have experienced trauma
