Bank Residential Team Leader at Mill River Lodge

Salary: £15\.36\-£16\.00 per hour

Hours: Bank \- Zero hours

Shift Times: As/when needed in the service \- 12hr shifts (07:45\-20:15 or 20:00\-08:00\)

Shaw healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring Bank Team Leader who is ready to make a positive impact at Mill River Lodge, situated in the picturesque West Sussex town of Horsham. The superb purpose built care home provides 70 spacious en\-suite bedrooms for elderly service users with conditions such as Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson’s or other clinical diagnoses.

Job Responsibilities

As a Bank Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of person\-centred care and supporting your team to uphold those standards in everything they do. This will include, but not limited to:

  • Lead by example, providing guidance and support on shift to promote best practice

  • Administer and record medication safely in line with Shaw policies and procedures

  • Report changes in residents needs or well\-being promptly to the Line Manager

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues

  • Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date care plans and documentation
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience working with older people in residential care

  • You will have completed or working towards your NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social care (or equivalent)

  • You will need to be flexible, patient, caring, organised and great with people

  • Ability to lead a team and use own initiative
