Bank Support Workers (Barnet)

Salary \- £14\.80 hourly

Centre 404 is hiring for our Finding and Matching project, within Community Support Services. The ideal support worker will be confident in working in outreach and working across LB’s Islington (majority of our service users), Camden, Haringey and in Barnet.

Support required: Generally, the people we support are relatively independent. Some are living with their family carers, while others live on their own. They need support around areas that have been highlighted by a social worker or their families as being areas of need for instance, assistance, to find a job, or, go to college, attending social events such as the Friday night social, visiting museums, art galleries, attending festivals and cultural events, going to gigs, going to the theatre/ cinema, attending college, working, going shopping, meeting friends and having a relationship, travel\-training, budgeting, maintaining their tenancies. Personal care and manual handling are essential elements of the role. Please do not apply if you are not comfortable or unable to do one or both.

Staff profile: Experience is not a requirement as comprehensive training and support will be provided.

Skills: Ability to lone\-work with minimum supervision, able to problem solve / think on feet, resourceful with creative ideas for support, good interpersonal skills, effective advocates for people with support needs.

Hours : Ideally at least able to work 30, or more hours per week, during week days.
