The Role

• Providing outstanding leadership for care staff


• Supporting residents with a range of complex needs and dependency levels


• Provide clinical nursing to residents including medication management, infection prevention and control procedures, e.g. wound care, catheter management


• Continuously strive towards ensuring clinical excellence within the home


• Developing tailored care plans to delivering excellence across everything you do

About You

• An NMC Registered Nurse


• Understands clinical assessment tools like Waterlow and MUST


• Experienced in writing comprehensive care plans

Cathkin House is a modern, purpose\-built care home in the small village of Nerston, East Kilbride. Our dedicated team provides expert residential, nursing and respite care for older people, including individuals with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

Everyone at Cathkin House enjoys one\-to\-one attention and care. To help us learn about each individual and their likes, dislikes, hobbies and interests, we work with residents and their families to complete special 'All about me' booklets.

We also hold monthly meetings with residents, to talk about upcoming activities and get everyone’s suggestions about things like our menu. Our manager’s door is always open to residents and their relatives if anyone has a query or question.

Cathkin House has a cosy and welcoming atmosphere, and family pets are very welcome to visit. The home is within walking distance of local amenities and shops, and the village offers good bus connections to East Kilbride and Glasgow.
