Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, dynamic and inspiring Band 5 Physiotherapist to join the YDH Physiotherapy Team

Main duties, tasks \& skills required
The post holder will:
- Provide evidence\-based physiotherapy in the clinical areas as part of a 7\-day service
- Provide clinical support, guidance and supervision for students, apprentices and Rehabilitation Assistants working within the Team
- Play an active role in the development of students and Rehabilitation Assistants, alongside senior clinical staff
- Provide advice regarding the rehabilitation management of patients to families, carers and the other members of the MDT
- Have a broad understanding of Physiotherapy specialities and of wider departmental and/or professional issues
- Partake in weekend working, respiratory on\-call duties and other clinical extended hours services as rotations require

Maintains good communication, liaison and working arrangements with other Trust teams, Trusts and external agencies
To use communication tools (verbal and non verbal) to gain valid informed consent with patients where there will often be barriers to effective communication e.g. loss of hearing, altered perception, expressive and receptive dysphasia, pain, fear. To have the capacity to work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment e.g. those with cognitive or speech difficulties.

- Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including evidence of recent postgraduate learning
