The role

We are looking for a hands\-on Backend Software Engineer to strengthen our Mobile Parking Application team in Porto. In this role, you will help design, build and maintain the backend services, APIs and databases that power our mobile parking platform and supporting back\-office systems.

You are a pragmatic software engineer who enjoys working on real\-world solutions in a mature production environment. You take ownership of your work, write quality code and enjoy improving systems that are already used by thousands of customers every day.

Together with developers, Product Owners and QA engineers, you will contribute to new features, technical improvements and the continuous evolution of our platform.

Your responsibilities include:

· Designing, developing, testing and maintaining backend services and RESTful APIs.

· Writing clean, maintainable and high\-quality code using C\# and .NET technologies.

· Building integrations between mobile applications, back\-office systems and third\-party services.

· Working with large operational databases, optimizing queries and improving performance.

· Supporting database improvements, migrations and operational maintenance.

· Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and development tooling.

· Troubleshooting production issues and improving system reliability.

· Participating in code reviews and contributing to engineering best practices.

· Sharing knowledge and helping improve the technical capabilities of the team.

You will play an important role in ensuring our backend remains scalable, secure and maintainable as our business continues to grow.

What we’re looking for

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable discipline.

· 3\+ years of professional software development experience.

· Strong experience with C\# and the .NET ecosystem.

· Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.

· Solid knowledge of SQL Server or other relational databases, including query optimization and performance tuning.

· Experience with cloud\-based environments and modern DevOps practices.

· Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and source control systems.

· Understanding of software architecture, design patterns and scalable system design.

· Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills.

· A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and quality focus.

· Excellent written and spoken Portuguese and English.

Nice to have

· Experience with Azure cloud services.

· Experience working with high\-volume transactional systems.

· Knowledge of event\-driven architectures, messaging systems or microservices.

· Experience improving mature or legacy production systems.

· Experience with mobile application backends (iOS and/or Android ecosystems).

· Experience using AI\-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot or AI\-assisted testing tools.
