Backend Engineer
<p><strong>Location Qualifications:</strong> This role is available for hybrid work (2 days in office) from our office in Ghent.</p>

<p>We aren’t just building another tool; we are redefining how global sales and marketing teams create, organize, and deploy content at scale. As a <strong>Backend Engineer</strong>, you won’t just "write code"—you will engineer solutions. You’ll have the autonomy to architect cloud-native features, optimize complex systems, and own the entire development lifecycle.</p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Design and implement scalable, cloud-native solutions that handle high-velocity content distribution.</li>
<li>From initial requirement gathering to deployment and monitoring, you own your features end-to-end.</li>
<li>Participate in deep-dive code reviews and mentor peers, ensuring our codebase stays robust, testable, and clean.</li>
<li>Tackle intricate challenges in cloud architecture, database optimization, and messaging systems.</li>
<li>We work in an agile, iterative environment where your ideas on improving our stack are not just heard—they’re expected.</li>

<p><strong>Required Skills</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proficiency in at least one modern backend ecosystem—Node.js/TypeScript, Go, or Python.</li>
<li>Proven experience building within <strong>AWS</strong> (or similar providers) and a solid grasp of microservices or serverless patterns.</li>
<li>A "test-first" mentality and a passion for writing maintainable, high-performance code.</li>
<li>The ability to navigate complex architectures and identify where a system can be made more resilient or efficient.</li>
</ul>
<p><em>Nice to haves</em></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience building SaaS products at scale.</li>
<li>Familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM) or CMS architectures.</li>
<li>Legacy-curious: You don't mind diving into PHP when the mission requires it.</li>
