Azure Cloud engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer with a strong background in Infrastructure as Code (Bicep and Terraform), Azure Container Apps (ACA), networking and security. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills, ensuring seamless collaboration with both internal teams and business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is not only technically proficient, but also highly transparent, proactive, and communicative, fostering trust and alignment across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Engineering

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable Azure cloud solutions.


• Support and help manage cloud\-native applications or IaaS implementations.


• Ensure high availability, performance, and cost efficiency across cloud environments.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Build and maintain reusable, modular IaC using:

o Bicep / Terraform

• Leverage Azure Verified Modules where applicable.


• Promote automation, version control, and CI/CD integration.

Networking

• Continuous contribution on Azure networking components management:

o Virtual Networks, Subnets, NSGs
o Private Endpoints, Service Endpoints
o Firewall, Gateways and Load Balancing aspects

• Ensure secure and optimized connectivity (hybrid and cloud\-native).

Security

• Contribute to cloud security best practices implementation and enforcement:

o Identity and Access Management (Entra\-ID, RBAC, PIM)
o Zero Trust principles
o Policy enforcement using Azure Policy

• Monitor, detect, and remediate vulnerabilities and threats.


• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance standards are met.

Operations \& Optimization

• Promote and support adoption of policies


• Monitor workloads and optimize performance and cost.


• Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure and applications.


• Continuously improve reliability and operational maturity of the team.

Required Skills \& Experience

• Strong hands\-on experience with Microsoft Azure.


• Deep expertise in:

o Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform)
o Cloud security practices
o Cloud networking architecture

• Experience with Azure Container Apps (ACA) and containerized workloads.


• Experience with APIM.


• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).


• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).

Experience:

• Microsoft Azure: 5 years (Required)


• Terraform: 5 years (Required)


• Bicep: 4 years (Required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Brussels
