Automation and site maintenance engineer
Our client is a fortune 500 company that supports a variety of current and next generation technology needs, from supply chain to end\-to\-end specialised expertise and services.
The current position is a site based site and conveyor engineer role within a distribution warehouse, within a team of 4 shift engineers. A successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful maintenance of the site through pre\-planned and reactive maintenance.
The hours are 1 weeks of earlies \- 06:00\-14:15 followed by 2 week of lates 14:00\-22:45 / shift finish, anything past standard hours is paid as overtime (x1\.5\)
Key responsibilities on the early shift include;
\- Using our electronic maintenance scheduler to select, carry out and sign off pre\-planned maintenance.
\- Liaising with customers operations team
\- Ensuring all building and maintenance schedules are met whether this be by the in house engineering team or through organising subcontractors
\- Ad\-hoc project work (power / data / plumbing)
\- Overseeing and assuming responsibility for specialist contractors on site ensuring they work safely and to a high standard
The key responsibilities on the late shift are to oversee and maintain the conveyor system through the use of the on site SCADA, this can range from jam\-busting though to mechanical and or electrical fault finding and subsequent repairs.
The following services all fall under the engineering teams responsibilities;
\- Regular PPM and shift cover for a Mid\-size conveyor used for both totes and master cartons (Vanderlande system)
\- Weekly testing of site sprinkler system
\- Site wide lighting
\- General upkeep and repairs on site plumbing
\- Basic level control and fault finding of fire alarm system
\- Adhoc works / project work
\- Bay Doors / Dock levellers
\- General building maintenance
Suitable candidate will ideally be
\- Electrically biased
\- Experienced in site and automation maintenance
\- Computer literate
Will be required to be on\-call 1 week in 4, any callouts will be paid overtime, additional overtime may be available depending on site requirements.
