SEMH & Autism Tutor / Inclusion Support - 1:1 (13-Year-Old)
Job Details
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Tutor / Inclusion Support Specialist to support a 13-year-old student with SEMH and Autism on a 1:1 basis.
Student experiences high levels of anxiety in learning environments, linked to fear of failure, difficulties with change, and sensory processing differences. This can lead to avoidance behaviours and challenges with engagement. He has also missed significant periods of education, so requires patient, structured support to rebuild confidence and re-engage with learning.
· Location: SO22
· Hours: 12 hours per week
· Start Date: ASAP
· Type: 1:1 Tuition / Inclusion Support

Requirements
· Experience supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) and Autism
· Strong understanding of anxiety-based school avoidance and emotional regulation
· Patient, calm, and empathetic approach
· Ability to create a structured, low-pressure learning environment
· Skilled in building trust and supporting confidence development
· Experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring
· Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
