Audit Assistant Manager – Blackburn/ Bolton Offices | PermanentReady to take the next step in your audit career? We’re working with a well-established professional services firm in Blackburn/ Bolton that is looking for an Audit Assistant Manager to join its growing audit team.

This is an opportunity for an experienced audit professional who wants more responsibility, greater client exposure and a clear route for progression.

You’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio of external and statutory audits, work closely with clients and play an important role in supporting and developing more junior members of the team.

The Role You’ll be involved across the full audit process, including:

• Planning, leading and completing external and statutory audit assignments


• Managing a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors


• Reviewing audit work and ensuring assignments are delivered to a high standard


• Supervising, supporting and developing junior team members


• Working closely with clients and building strong professional relationships


• Identifying issues and providing practical insight around financial controls and reporting


• Managing multiple assignments and deadlines effectively

You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with senior colleagues while building the experience and confidence needed to progress your career.

About You We’d like to hear from experienced audit professionals with:

• Strong experience within a UK accountancy practice


• Solid external and statutory audit experience


• A good understanding of UK auditing standards and regulatory requirements


• Experience supervising or supporting junior team members


• Strong communication and organisational skills


• The ability to manage multiple clients and competing deadlines


• ACA or ACCA qualification, or equivalent relevant experience

You may already be working at Assistant Manager level, or be an experienced Senior looking for the opportunity to take that next step.
