Key Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and charity clients


• Carry out audit work from planning through to completion in line with set procedures


• Assist with independent examinations for charity clients


• Prepare cash flow information and supporting financial schedules


• Respond to client queries in a clear and timely manner


• Produce draft tax computations and assist with VAT return preparation


• Review work produced by junior staff and ensure accuracy and compliance


• Support the training and guidance of junior team members as required


• Deliver assigned work within agreed budgets and deadlines


• Assist with year-end accounts preparation in accordance with relevant standards

What We're Looking For

• ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or actively working towards qualification


• Solid experience within general practice covering audit, accounts, and tax


• Confident use of accounting systems and strong IT skills


• Clear and professional communication style


• Strong attention to detail and consistent approach to quality


• Ability to manage workload in an organised and methodical way


• Comfortable working within set processes and structured workflows


• Reliable, accountable, and able to deliver work to deadline


• Previous experience reviewing junior work would be beneficial
