Audiology Assistant
Overview
We’re looking for a friendly, customer\-focused Audiology Assistant to join our team and play a key role in delivering an outstanding experience for our patients. As the first point of contact on the shop floor, you’ll be the welcoming face of our audiology service—engaging with customers, answering questions, and helping guide them through their hearing care journey.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines customer service, basic clinical support, and administrative duties.
While a background in audiology is not required, we’re looking for someone who is confident, approachable, and eager to learn. Full training will be provided to ensure you feel supported and equipped to succeed in the role.
Responsibilities
- Greeting customers and promoting our audiology services
- Booking hearing appointments and managing queries on the shop floor
- Conducting preliminary hearing screeners to assess whether a full hearing assessment is needed
- Providing basic hearing aid repairs and maintenance
- Supporting the audiology team with day\-to\-day tasks\- may need to occasionally answer incoming telephone calls/ make pre\-appointment calls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence in engaging with the public
- A proactive and positive attitude
- Strong telephone skills and attention to detail
- The ability to plan your own work, work on your own initiative
- The ability to to manage pressure and conflicting demands and prioritise tasks and workload
- Tact, discretion, and respect for confidentiality
- Teamwork
- No prior audiology experience required – full training will be provided
Pay: £12\.91 per hour
