<p>This role is particularly suited for candidates with a background in <strong>Software QA or Test Automation</strong> who are looking to take the next step into software development. We'll support you through hands-on mentoring, real development work, and your journey towards becoming a <strong>Pega Certified System Architect (CSA)</strong>.</p>
<p>As an <strong>Associate Pega Developer</strong> at DKB Code Factory, you'll help build scalable customer service solutions for millions of banking customers while learning one of the world's leading enterprise low-code platforms. Working alongside experienced Pega Developers, Architects, Product Owners, and Business Analysts, you'll gradually take ownership of your own features, contribute to test automation, and develop into a well-rounded software engineer.</p>

<h4><strong>{ your_responsibilities: [</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li>Develop and enhance low-complexity features on the Pega platform, including workflows, UI components, business rules, and integrations.</li>
<li><span data-teams="true">Contribute to improving our test automation landscape by implementing and maintaining automated tests in order to help reduce manual testing effort across the development lifecycle.</span></li>
<li>Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and senior developers to translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions.</li>
<li>Learn modern software engineering practices including code reviews, agile development, and collaborative problem solving.</li>
<li>Continuously expand your knowledge of the Pega platform and work towards your Pega Certified System Architect (CSA) certification.</li>
<li>Participate actively in team ceremonies, knowledge-sharing sessions, and engineering discussions while learning from experienced colleagues.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li><strong>Within your first 3 months</strong><br>You'll become familiar with our products, engineering practices, and the Pega platform. You'll establish strong relationships within the team, contribute to development activities, and begin working on your first production features while receiving close mentoring.</li>
<li><strong>Within 3–6 months</strong><br>You'll independently deliver low-complexity Pega features into production and contribute automated tests as part of your daily development work. You'll become increasingly confident navigating the platform and collaborating with different stakeholders.</li>
<li><strong>Within 6–12 months</strong><br>You'll take ownership of increasingly complex features, actively contribute to improving automation and development processes, and successfully complete your Pega Certified System Architect (CSA) certification. Your work will help improve software quality while reducing manual effort throughout the delivery process.</li>
<li><strong>After 12 months</strong><br>You'll have established yourself as a trusted member of the engineering team with a solid foundation in Pega development. You'll independently deliver features, contribute to technical discussions, and continue growing towards more advanced engineering responsibilities.</li>

<p><strong>{ following_qualifications_would_be_in_line_with_our_desired_profile_for_this_position: [</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>First professional experience in <strong>Software QA</strong>, <strong>Test Automation</strong>, <strong>Software Development</strong>, or a related technical field.</li>
<li>Experience working with test automation frameworks such as <strong>Selenium</strong>, <strong>Serenity</strong>, <strong>WebDriver</strong>, or comparable tools.</li>
<li>Practical experience <strong>integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines</strong> (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).</li>
<li>Good understanding of software testing principles and different testing approaches, including <strong>unit</strong>, <strong>integration</strong>, and <strong>end-to-end testing</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>Basic Java</strong> knowledge or experience with another object-oriented programming language.</li>
<li><strong>Curiosity</strong> <strong>to learn new technologies</strong> and develop into a Software Engineer on the Pega platform.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills in <strong>English</strong>. <strong>German</strong> is a plus, but not required.</li>
<li>A <strong>collaborative</strong> mindset, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for improving software quality and engineering processes.</li>
