Role Summary

This role offers an experienced Wealth Planner or Wealth Manager the opportunity to step into an Associate Director position with a premier national wealth firm in Birmingham. Backed by institutional resources, digital tools, and a comprehensive multi-disciplinary proposition across investments, credit, and estate planning, you will step into an established portfolio while enjoying the autonomy to build your regional footprint.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and advise an inherited portfolio of high-net-worth clients with comprehensive financial planning needs, giving you immediate client ownership and a stable foundation without having to build a book from scratch.

Formulate and deliver targeted business development strategies across the regional professional community, enabling you to expand your network, raise your profile, and control your own asset growth.

Collaborate across internal specialist disciplines including discretionary fund management, credit, and trust services, offering you full access to sophisticated institutional solutions to solve complex client scenarios.

Provide mentorship and technical coaching to junior wealth team members, strengthening your leadership track record and expanding your managerial capability within an established regional office.

Requirements

Level 6 CII (such as Chartered Financial Planner or Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning) or Level 7 CISI Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.

Substantial client-facing experience advising high-net-worth individuals within an established wealth management or financial planning firm.

Deep technical understanding of holistic wealth planning, current tax frameworks, retirement structures, and broader investment strategies.

Strong relationship management and commercial acumen, with the ability to present a viable business development plan during the interview process.
