Assistant Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Supervisor to support our team. The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills, a background in food preparation or FOH operations, and the ability to manage a team effectively 2 days a week out of 5\. The other 3 days, you will be running a unit. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with restaurant, hotel, or catering experience to develop their supervisory capabilities within a dynamic environment. The Assistant Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations 2 days a week, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and assisting in delivering exceptional service to our guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor/manager in managing daily service operations to ensure smooth workflow.


• Supervise and support team members in food preparation, serving, and cleaning tasks.


• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.


• Coordinate product production activities to meet quality standards and customer expectations.


• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock management and maintenance to minimise waste and optimise resources.


• Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.


• Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, motivation, and high performance.

• Supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment or a legnth of service candidate ready to take the next step.


• Background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.


• Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.


• Experience in team management, leadership roles, or supervisory positions is highly desirable.


• Knowledge of hospitality practices including serving. Barista skills is advantageous.


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
