Are you an experienced retail professional looking for an exciting opportunity to lead a busy superstore while overseeing warehouse and ecommerce operations?
As Assistant Superstore Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day\-to\-day running and performance of the superstore, ensuring the team is well organised, motivated and focused on delivering excellent customer service and income. You will lead on staff rotas, stock management, shop standards, sales performance and operational delivery, while also overseeing the wider warehouse and ecommerce functions within the team.
Working closely with the Head of Retail, you will help drive the commercial performance of the superstore and ensure the warehouse and ecommerce operations support the wider retail strategy. This is a hands\-on leadership role requiring someone who can manage people effectively, identify opportunities to increase income and ensure all areas of the operation work together successfully.

Key responsibilitiesfor the role include:

- Support the Superstore Manager with the day\-to\-day running of the superstore.
- Take responsibility for the store in the absence of the Superstore Manager.
- Support the management of staff rotas, ensuring appropriate staffing levels across the superstore and wider operation.
- Lead, motivate and support staff and volunteers, creating a positive and productive team environment.
- Need to be commercially driven and to support the team to achieve agreed sales, income, Gift Aid and other performance targets.
- Maintain excellent standards of customer service, shop presentation, visual merchandising and housekeeping.
- Ensuring donations are processed and allocated to the most appropriate sales channel.
- Work closely with the warehouse and ecommerce teams to maximise income opportunities.
- Support the ecommerce operation by identifying suitable stock for online sale and ensuring stock is processed efficiently.
- Monitor sales and operational performance and highlight areas requiring action to the Superstore Manager.
- Support the implementation of promotions, campaigns and initiatives designed to increase income.
- Ensure health and safety, security and compliance standards are maintained across the superstore.
- Support Gift Aid to ensure processes are followed correctly.
- Assist with training, induction and development of staff and volunteers.
- Help create a welcoming environment for customers, donors and volunteers.
- Support the Superstore Manager with budgets, administration and other operational requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, increase income and enhance the customer experience.
- Ad\-hoc duties as required.

- Experience working in a retail, customer service, commercial or similar environment.
- Experience of supporting or supervising a team.
- Good understanding of retail operations and customer service.
- Ability to work towards and achieve sales or income targets.
- Good organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise workload.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with staff and volunteers.
- Good problem\-solving and decision\-making skills.
- Positive, proactive and commercially focused approach.
- Ability to work flexibly across a Monday to Sunday operation.
- Understanding of health and safety and compliance requirements.
- Full Driving Licence
