Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the smooth operation of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality. This role involves supervising daily restaurant activities, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and providing outstanding service to our guests. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will work closely with the management team to uphold high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including food preparation and service delivery
- Supervise and support restaurant staff, including serving, kitchen, and bar personnel
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Manage team schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and motivate staff to achieve performance goals
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Support training programmes for new staff members in hospitality standards and food safety procedures
- Assist in managing restaurant financials, including cash handling and reporting
- Contribute to menu planning by providing culinary input based on kitchen experience and food production knowledge
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example
- Extensive restaurant experience with a solid understanding of food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast\-paced setting
- Exceptional leadership qualities coupled with a customer\-focused approach
- Experience in hospitality roles such as serving or barista work is advantageous
- Familiarity with food production processes and hotel or hospitality industry standards
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to motivate staff and engage guests effectively
