A growing construction business is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of a varied portfolio of projects across London and the South East.
This opportunity would suit a graduate, trainee or assistant\-level candidate who is looking to develop their career within a hands\-on contracting environment.
Working closely with senior management, you will gain exposure to all aspects of project delivery, from tender stage through to final account.
The company is keen to invest in somebody with the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.
Whilst construction\-related qualifications are advantageous, personality, intelligence and ambition are considered equally important.
The Role
Assisting with the commercial management of multiple construction projects
Supporting the procurement and appointment of subcontractors Preparing enquiries and reviewing subcontractor quotations
Assisting with valuations, variations and final accounts
Monitoring project costs and reporting on commercial performance
Working closely with site and project management teams
Attending site meetings and progress reviews
Assisting with contract administration and project documentation
Building relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and clients
Candidate Profile
Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent construction\-related qualification desirable
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Good commercial awareness
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Enthusiastic, driven and eager to develop
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Full UK driving licence preferred
