We are seeking two Assistant Psychologists who are passionate about promoting the emotional health and well\-being of children and young people with developmental delay or disability and their families. These posts will be part of the Children with Additional Needs (CAN DWR) and the Intensive Positive Behavioural Support (iPBS) teams. The teams work to promote emotional wellbeing and development in children with developmental delay and learning disabilities, their families and systems of support. The postholders will work alongside multi\-disciplinary teams and will make close links with colleagues within the children’s centres, education, social care and the third sector. The postholders will support outreach through developing and delivering workshops and toolkits and partnering with projects in the local community. The postholders will work alongside the Clinical Psychologist to run groups and provide psychological support to young people, families and their systems of support.

The postholders will have a passion for working with children and young people with developmental delay and a strong values base that links with an attachment informed positive behavioural support approach.

This post is a fixed term/secondment for 7 months until 31st March 2027 to meet the needs of the service. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
