Overview
A Refurbishment Assistant Project Manager supports the successful delivery of refurbishment, fit\-out, and renovation projects by assisting the Project Manager with planning, coordination, administration, and site management activities. The role involves liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to help ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the management and coordination of refurbishment and fit\-out projects
- Support the Project Manager with project planning, scheduling, and reporting
- Attend site visits and monitor progress against programme deadlines
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries
- Help manage project documentation, drawings, and reports
- Assist with procurement and tracking of materials and labour
- Monitor quality standards and report defects or issues
- Support health \& safety compliance and site inspections
- Attend client and subcontractor meetings and record meeting minutes
- Basic understanding of construction, refurbishment, or fit\-out projects
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and problem\-solving skills
