We are seeking to recruit an inspirational Assistant Medical Director with enthusiasm and a passion for taking forward change. We are open and flexible when it comes to our leadership approach and developmental arrangements.

The post holder will play a key role in supporting the Medical Director and Director of Primary and Community in leading the delivery of a safe, effective and sustainable primary care service. They will also have a key role in helping to lead and deliver the Health Board's transformation programme. Working with other PTHB senior clinicians and managers, the post holder will lead primary care and clinical service development in PTHB. There is also a key role in supporting development and improvement of pathways between primary care and commissioned NHS services.

The job description for the post will be kept under regular review, in consultation with the post holder. It is expected that some of the duties will evolve, through discussion, over time.

At all times, to act fully in line with “Good Medical Practice” (GMC, 2013\) and all related GMC requirements

Working with the Medical Director, Director of Primary Care, Community Services and Mental Health, Directors of planning and transformation leads and other Directorates, to support the development and delivery of the Integrated Medium\-Term Plan.

The post holder has a general duty of care for their own health, safety and wellbeing and that of work colleagues, visitors and patients within PTHB. This statutory duty is in addition to any specific risk management or clinical governance accountabilities associated with the post. The post holder is expected to:

Comply with the rules, policies, procedures and standards of PTHB, together with all relevant statutory and professional obligations.

Observe and maintain strict confidentiality of personal information relating to patients and staff.

Be responsible, with management support, for their own personal development and to actively contribute to the development of colleagues.
