The Residence Bar \& Kitchen is looking for a confident, enthusiastic
and hands\-on Assistant Manager to work alongside our General Manager
and help deliver an exceptional guest experience.

We’re an independent bar and kitchen in the heart of The Hub, Milton
Keynes, bringing together quality food, cocktails, bottomless
brunches, live music, DJs and private celebrations. We pride ourselves
on creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel at home and our
team takes pride in every service.

Assistant Manager – The Residence Bar \& Kitchen
Location: The Hub, Milton Keynes
Salary: Up to £32,500 per year, depending on experience, plus
performance\-based bonus

This role would suit an experienced Assistant Manager or a strong
supervisor ready to take the next step.

Your role:

You’ll play an active part in the daily running of the venue, leading
from the front and keeping service organised, friendly and efficient.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the General Manager with day\-to\-day operations.


• Taking responsibility for shifts, including opening and closing the venue.


• Leading, motivating and developing the front\-of\-house team.


• Maintaining high standards across service, presentation and cleanliness.


• Working closely with the kitchen to keep service running smoothly.


• Handling guest enquiries and resolving concerns professionally.


• Supporting bookings, private events and busy entertainment nights.


• Assisting with rotas, stock control, cash handling and cost management.


• Driving sales through excellent service and strong product knowledge.


• Upholding food safety, health and safety, and licensing requirements.

What we’re looking for

• Previous supervisory or management experience in a busy bar, restaurant or hospitality venue.


• A hands\-on leader who is comfortable working both on the floor and behind the bar.


• Excellent communication and organisational skills.


• A calm, practical approach during busy services.


• A genuine passion for hospitality and making guests feel welcome.


• Commercial awareness and an understanding of staffing levels, stock and sales.


• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays, with cocktail knowledge and experience with events, busy christmas \& bottomless brunch service would be an advantage.
