We are looking for a proactive and customer\-focused Assistant Manager to join our team at La Petite Colline. You will support the General Manager in the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent guest experiences, smooth service, and efficient team performance. This is a hands\-on role where you will lead by example, motivate staff, and help maintain high standards in food quality, service, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations.
- Supervise, train, and motivate front\-of\-house and/or back\-of\-house staff.
- Ensure exceptional guest service and resolve customer concerns effectively.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and control waste to achieve cost targets.
- Uphold health, safety, and food hygiene standards in line with UK regulations.
- Contribute to sales growth by supporting marketing and upselling initiatives.
- Step in as acting manager in the General Manager’s absence.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in hospitality.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast\-paced environment.
- Good understanding of restaurant operations, including stock control and rota planning.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Fluency in French is a strong advantage (preferred but not essential).
