Assistant Manager
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive restaurant and kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role offers an excellent opportunity to oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. Previous supervisory experience and a background in food preparation or culinary arts are highly desirable. The Assistant Manager will play a vital role in maintaining a welcoming environment while supporting the management team to achieve operational excellence.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily restaurant or hotel operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high\-quality service delivery
- Supervise and motivate team members, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all areas
- Support staff training programmes, including serving, hospitality, and kitchen procedures
- Manage stock levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure efficient operation
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to uphold customer satisfaction
- Assist with organising staff schedules and shift rotations
- Contribute to menu planning and development in collaboration with culinary staff
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations and report on performance metrics
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example
- Extensive restaurant experience, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality roles
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem\-solving
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers
- Experience in kitchen operations or hotel management is advantageous
- Barista experience or culinary expertise is considered a plus
Pay: £40,000\.00 per year
