As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at our Stillorgan Shopping Centre branch.
Job Summary:
As the Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the overall operations of our book and stationery store. You will assist the Store Manager in ensuring a seamless customer experience while maintaining the store's visual appeal and upholding our commitment to excellence. Your responsibilities will include staff supervision, stock management, customer service, and contributing to the achievement of sales goals.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and lead a team of sales assistants, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Provide training, coaching, and guidance to ensure staff members are knowledgeable and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure that all customers receive a warm and friendly welcome, and address any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining a customer\-centric culture within the store.
- Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to set and achieve sales targets.
- Actively engage in sales activities, promoting featured products and encouraging upsells.
- Stock Management:
- Oversee stock levels and ensure accurate stock replenishment.
- Conduct regular stock checks, and assist in managing merchandise displays to enhance product visibility.
- Visual Merchandising:
- Work closely with the Store Manager to maintain an attractive and organized store layout.
- Contribute to creating visually appealing displays that showcase our products effectively.
- Operational Excellence:
- Assist in managing day\-to\-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Communication:
- Foster clear and open communication channels with the team and report any issues or opportunities to the Store Manager.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination in achieving overall company objectives.
- Previous retail management experience, preferably in a book or stationery store.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Detail\-oriented with effective organizational and multitasking skills.
Job Type: Full\-time
