Job Summary: The Embankment Bar Restaurant and Club, a NEW establishment in Stratford\-upon\-Avon, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As the Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the bar, restaurant, and club. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in the hospitality industry, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing the day\-to\-day operations of the bar, restaurant, and club, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Supervise and train staff, including bartenders, servers, and other support staff, to ensure they are knowledgeable and skilled in their roles.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and seating guests, taking orders, and resolving any issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and maintain stock of supplies, beverages, and food items, ensuring proper rotation and storage.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and licensing laws, and address any issues as they arise.
- Assist in creating and implementing staff schedules, and manage labor costs to ensure optimal staffing levels while maintaining budgetary guidelines.
- Support marketing and promotional activities, such as special events, social media campaigns, and loyalty programs, to increase customer engagement and drive revenue.
- Maintain a clean and well\-organized working environment, including overseeing cleanliness standards, equipment maintenance, and adherence to sanitation protocols.
- Provide feedback and coaching to staff, conduct performance evaluations, and address any performance concerns or training needs.
- Act as a point of contact in the absence of the General Manager, making operational decisions and resolving issues as necessary.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a bar, restaurant, or club setting.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management, health and safety regulations, and licensing laws.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast\-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and high\-quality standards.
- Proficiency in using technology, such as point\-of\-sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,218\.00\-£35,074\.00 per year
