About Us: The Alpaca, a vibrant gastropub located in the heart of Islington, is seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. With a bustling restaurant and bar, a spacious outdoor seating area, and a second bar in a private function room, we offer a diverse and exciting environment for an ambitious manager to thrive in.

Key Responsibilities:

1\. Team Management:

• Lead and inspire the bar team, ensuring a high standard of service.


• Conduct training sessions to enhance staff skills and knowledge.


• Oversee day\-to\-day operations, including staff schedules and performance.

2\. Sales\-driving skills

• Drive sales in\-house by motivating the team, setting targets and rewarding success


• Organise events and drive sales through innovation

3\. Key\-Holder Responsibilities:

• Assume key\-holder responsibilities, maintaining security protocols.


• Open and close the bar, ensuring a smooth transition between shifts.

4\. Hiring and Staff Development:

• Participate in the hiring process for bar staff, ensuring a skilled and motivated team.


• Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff members.


• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 years of experience in a management role.


• Authorised to work in the United Kingdom.


• Ability to commute to London N1 8LU.
