Description
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheets accurately and promptly.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes within the accounting and finance department.
- Assist with the preparation of VAT returns and compliance with tax regulations.
- Monitor financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy.
- Provide support during audits by preparing relevant documentation and reports.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within financial operations.
A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:
- Part-qualified (PQ) accountant or working towards a recognised accountancy qualification
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role
- Experience supporting month-end processes, including reconciliations and journal postings
- Good understanding of core accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Able to manage workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable communicating with both finance and non-finance colleagues
- Organised and methodical in approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Willing to learn and develop professionally
- Able to adapt to changing priorities and business needs

- A competitive salary ranging from £28,000 to £32,000.
