As the Assistant Maître, you manage other employees operationally. You are responsible for planning, arranging and adjusting the employees in the work performance and provide operational personnel management (absenteeism, performance, recruitment and selection). You also help with the operation where necessary.

- Assigning activities, giving directions/instructions
- Supervising the progress and quality of the activities, receiving and handling questions/complaints from guests.
- Making work schedules, arranging sufficient staffing (part\-timers, stand\-by workers).
- Consultation and coordination of activities with other departments.
- Ensuring the availability of tools.
- Participate in the operation yourself (taking orders, serving wines and dishes, processing dishes at the table, set up the bill and receive payments etc.).
- Supervising compliance with safety, health, HACCP and working presentation methods (corporate identity) regulations.
- (Based on practical experiences and suggestions from guests), making proposals to the manager regarding improvements/changes.
- Being able to listen to guests and their complaints and deal with them the right way.
- Responsible of the circulation money.
- Making an overview of the shift
- At the start of the shift, making a shift planning where you divide the work.
- Correct hours in the system, sick unpaid leave, paid leave, etc. according to company regulations
- Responsible for the correct way of opening/closing the restaurant.
- MBO level 3 – 4 working and thinking level, preferably supplemented with SVH\-teacher diploma.
- Insight into the (legal) regulations in the field of safety and (social) hygiene.
- Knowledge of the business rules and frameworks of the business formula.
- Previous work experience in the same position for at least 2 years.
- Excellent Leadership skills.
- High standards and attention to detail.
