Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to support the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in hotel management, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the organisation’s success by overseeing staff, ensuring service standards are met, and assisting in strategic planning. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to uphold the organisation’s reputation for excellence and foster a positive working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily hotel, restaurant and function operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery

  • Supervise and motivate staff, providing guidance and support to achieve performance targets

  • Oversee guest services to guarantee high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Implement organisational policies and procedures in line with company standards

  • Manage reservations, billing, and administrative tasks as required

  • Support in organising events and special functions within the hotel premises

  • Monitor financial performance and assist in budgeting processes

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all departments

  • Foster a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and guest satisfaction
Skills
  • Proven supervising experience within the hospitality sector, ideally in a hotel environment

  • Background in event managing

  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent organisational skills

  • Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to enhance guest communication

  • Exceptional guest service skills with a focus on delivering memorable experiences

  • Knowledge of human resources practices including recruitment, training, and staff management

  • Experience in hospitality management systems and administrative functions

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English; additional languages are advantageous
