Assistant General Manager
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our great team over at The Greenroom. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strong understanding of hospitality, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained. The Assistant General Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the General Manager to create a welcoming environment and drive operational excellence from both the bar and kitchen. We are very much a neighbourhood social for the local residents of the town and are looking for an individual who buys into our ethos of guest facing service with a personalised approach.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily operations, ensuring smooth service and a great product.
- Supervise and motivate team members, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Support in training the team on service procedures, and safety protocols.
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and coordinate our team to optimise customer experience.
- Handle guest enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs effectively.
- Support the implementation of promotional activities and special events within the establishment.
- Uphold hospitality standards by maintaining professional conduct and appearance at all times.
- Proven supervising experience within a high volume bar environment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
- Experience in team management, leadership, and staff development.
- Familiarity with hospitality services including serving, barista duties, and bartending is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- A proactive approach to problem\-solving with strong attention to detail.
Pay: £32,000\.00\-£34,350\.00 per year
