Assistant General Manager (full-time)

We’re on the lookout for a confident, hands\-on Assistant General Manager to join the team at Margot in Parbold.

This is a key role within the business, with a particular focus on leading and growing our events and private hire offering—from baby showers and birthdays to a range of special occasions in our dedicated events space. You’ll take real ownership of these bookings, ensuring each one is delivered with care, attention, and a bit of flair.

What you’ll be doing:

• Overseeing and delivering all private events from enquiry through to execution


• Managing our events space and ensuring consistently high standards


• Supporting the General Manager in the day\-to\-day running of the venue


• Leading from the floor during busy service periods


• Training, mentoring, and developing the team to deliver confident, polished service


• Driving team performance, service quality, and guest experience

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in a busy, high\-quality restaurant environment


• Strong operational knowledge of both floor and bar service


• A natural host—organised, personable, and calm under pressure


• Experience running events or private hires is highly desirable


• A passion for developing people and building a strong, motivated team


• A real eye for detail and pride in delivering memorable guest experiences
