Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a background in food preparation and culinary arts.

Duties

• Assist in managing daily operations of the restaurant or establishment, ensuring smooth service delivery.


• Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive team environment while promoting professional development.


• Oversee food preparation and production processes, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and quality standards.


• Collaborate with the General Manager to develop menus, manage inventory, and control costs effectively.


• Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.


• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health and safety guidelines.


• Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing labour costs while ensuring adequate coverage during peak times.


• Contribute to marketing efforts to promote the establishment and attract new customers.

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.


• Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management.


• Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development.


• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.


• Previous experience in a barista role or hotel environment is advantageous.


• Exceptional communication skills with a customer\-focused approach.


• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
