Assistant Financial Accountant - Christchurch - up to £40,000

A Financial Accountant is being recruited for a group based in the Christchurch area. You'll play a key role in a busy reporting function, getting hands on with everything from statutory accounts to tax, reconciliations, investment related accounting, and financial projects. If you're currently in practice and keen to move into industry, this is your perfect next step.

What you'll be doing

• Group reporting support - preparing working papers and contributing to IFRS-aligned Group accounts


• Statutory accounts prep - supporting UK GAAP reporting across multiple entities


• Trust & fund accounting - assisting with Trust accounts and related reconciliations


• Balance sheet ownership - preparing and reviewing reconciliations


• Tax exposure - assisting with corporate and personal tax computations


• Intercompany work - ensuring accuracy across a multi-entity structure


• Management accounting support - helping deliver financial insight and reporting


• Plus: involvement in financial projects, reporting drafts, and ad-hoc analysis

What you'll bring

• Strong grounding in accounting principles


• Solid Excel and reconciliation skills


• Sharp attention to detail and organisation


• Ideally ACCA/ACA/CIMA/AAT part-qualified, or experience with statutory accounts, UK GAAP/IFRS, group structures, or tax
