Assistant Finance Manager

Here at GXO, we’re seeking a motivated Assistant Finance Manager to join our team in Selby. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in supporting operational teams, analysing financial performance, and ensuring accurate reporting across multiple contracts.
This is a full\-time, permanent position. This is an on\-site role, you will be working Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00\.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £36,000 per annum depending on experience and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Produce weekly management information and monthly financial packs across site contracts
- Monitor cost flows, budgets, and forecasts, identifying trends and variances
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and detailed analysis
- Process internal cross charges, trial balances, and financial data accurately
- Ensure purchase orders and supplier invoices are logged and processed efficiently
- Strong Excel skills (including formulas) and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Confident communicator able to engage with multiple stakeholders
- Previous finance experience with a proactive, self\-motivated approach
