About The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Assistant Events Operations Manager to join our team. This role supports the Operations Manager with the operational delivery of a wide range of events including Weddings, Private Parties, Corporate Events and Funeral Receptions.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with Hospitality and/or Events Management experience who enjoys leading teams and creating outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Operational Delivery
- Lead Bar and Venue operations in the absence of the Operations Manager.
- Lead operational execution on event days.
- Coordinate Front of House Team Members to ensure efficient bar service, guest satisfaction and task completion.
- Make operational decisions during service, including staffing adjustments and task delegation/prioritisation.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and security teams to ensure smooth event delivery.
- Support Front Of House Team Members with their daily duties through effective delegation and quality control to ensure operational standards are maintained.
- Monitor team performance during shifts, providing immediate feedback on service quality, speed, and customer interaction.
- Escalate performance or conduct issues to the Operations Manager and document concerns where appropriate.
- Contribute to performance reviews by providing feedback on team members’ strengths, areas for improvement, and behaviours observed during shifts.
- Assist the Operations Manager with the management of Bar Stock, including Stock Ordering, Stock Rotation, Stock Counts.
- Assist the Operations Manager to create rotas, and adjust staffing levels in real time to ensure that payroll costs remain on or below target.
- Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are adhered to by the Front Of House Team Members.
- Ensure that all staff comply with Health, Safety and Licensing Regulations, and act as an on\-site authority for Health and Safety during events.
- Supporting the Operations Manager with internal Health and Safety management.
This role requires flexibility and varied availability across weekdays, evenings and weekends.

- Personal Licence Holder.
- Experience managing Stock.
- Experience creating Rotas.
- Operational experience within event venues.
