Junior Estimator
Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Office-based
Holiday: 28 days (including bank holidays)
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to support the estimating team in the preparation of accurate and timely costings. This role involves working closely with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to ensure high-quality project delivery and commercially sound decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Administration
- Create and maintain documentation to support the production of costing and estimating information
- Ensure a well-organised and efficient administrative process that supports company objectives
- Review and assess incoming enquiries
- Gather sufficient information to support the Estimating Manager in identifying risks, concerns, and opportunities
- Help prioritise projects with the highest potential success and suitability
- Develop and maintain relationships with specialist suppliers
- Support sourcing activities to ensure customer requirements can be met effectively
- Contracts
- Develop understanding of contract terms and conditions
- Identify potential risks or onerous conditions within contract documentation
- Support the protection of company interests through awareness of contractual obligations
- Client Interface
- Assist in client meetings where required
- Support the presentation and explanation of costings, variations, and final accounts
- Ensure clarity and accuracy in all client communications
- Comply with all relevant health & safety legislation
- Actively contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for all staff and visitors
- Professional Conduct
- Adhere to company dress code and maintain a professional appearance at all times
- Represent the company positively in all interactions with colleagues, clients, and suppliers
- Participate fully in performance appraisals
- Agree and follow a personal training and development plan with your line manager
- Continuously develop skills to support both personal and company growth
- Understand and work towards the company's vision and strategic goals
- Contribute positively to the long-term success and growth of the business
- Background in manufacturing or engineering environments
- Experience working within furniture manufacturing or bespoke furniture environments
- Exposure to production processes, materials, or workshop-based industries
- Any experience within estimating, costings, or commercial support roles
