The opportunity
This is a role for a leader who wants to be at the centre of major reform \- bringing pace, focus and assurance to a complex portfolio across education, skills, employment and wider public service change. You will help turn the Greater Manchester Strategy and Integrated Settlement into clear delivery, visible progress and stronger outcomes.
You will work with teams and partners to keep delivery moving, spot risks early, support honest performance conversations and make sure effort stays focused on what will make the biggest difference.
What Lead delivery performance and outcomes aligned to the Greater Manchester you’ll lead
- Strategy and Integrated Settlement.
- Make it clear what good delivery looks like, how progress is tracked and how we act when things go off course.
- Give senior leaders confidence that risks, dependencies and delivery barriers are understood and being managed.
- Work with teams and partners to maintain pace, focus and momentum through reform and political change.
- Hold delivery teams and partners to account in a way that supports improvement, learning and shared ownership.
- Use insight and evidence to strengthen performance, improve outcomes and support better decisions.
- Experience of leading complex delivery across large programmes, partnerships or systems.
- A strong track record of turning strategy into practical delivery plans and measurable results.
- Confidence to lead through ambiguity, challenge and change not just manage established processes.
- Strong judgement, political awareness and the ability to prioritise in fast\-moving, high\-accountability environments.
- The credibility to work with senior leaders, partners and teams to build trust, grip and shared commitment.
