We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Bar Manager to support the daily operations of our vibrant hospitality venue. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent service, and a solid background in food and beverage management. The Assistant Bar Manager will play a key role in supervising staff, managing bar operations, and assisting with organisational tasks to uphold the venue’s reputation for excellence.
Duties
- Assist in overseeing daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service delivery during shifts
- Supervise and support bar staff, including training and motivating team members to deliver outstanding customer service
- Coordinate food preparation and ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and oversee food production processes
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to within the bar and kitchen areas
- Assist in supervising the organisation of events and special functions hosted at the venue
- Support in developing menus, including beverage offerings and light food options such as snacks or small plates
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with hygiene standards
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
- Collaborate with the management team to implement policies that enhance operational efficiency
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality environments, ideally with supervisory or team management responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety procedures
- Previous experience working in bars, restaurants, hotels or similar establishments; barista experience is advantageous
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise staff effectively
- Sound understanding of food production processes and culinary practices
- Experience in serving guests with professionalism and hospitality expertise
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of health \& safety regulations relevant to food service environments
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
Pay: £28,080\.00\-£29,500\.00 per year
