Assistant Bar and Restaurant Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Bar and Restaurant Manager to support the smooth operation of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer experiences, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The successful applicant will play a vital part in fostering a welcoming environment while managing daily operations efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily operations of the bar and restaurant


• Supervise and support team members, including serving staff, bartenders, and kitchen personnel


• Ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and service are maintained at all times


• Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations


• Manage stock levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth service


• Assist in training new staff members and providing ongoing development for existing team members


• Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee customer satisfaction


• Support in organising events or special promotions within the venue


• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and dining areas

Experience

• Proven experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment


• Pub experience with knowledge of food production, kitchen procedures, and service standards


• Culinary experience or background in food preparation and cooking is highly desirable


• Experience in managing teams effectively within a fast\-paced setting


• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality management


• Barista experience or knowledge of bar operations is advantageous


• Previous hotel or hospitality experience will be considered an asset


• Strong leadership skills combined with excellent communication abilities

This role offers an exciting tips and service charge along with hourly pay , bonus incentives on turnover rates.

Pay: From £14\.50 per hour
