Assistant Accountant - Practice

An ambitious and growing accountancy practice in Hertfordshire are looking for an Accountant to take ownership of an expanding client portfolio.

The firm has seen strong growth over the past 12 months, with clients taking up an increasing range of services. With clear plans for the next five years, this is a great time to join a business that is building real momentum.

The role

• Managing your own portfolio of clients


• Preparing limited company statutory accounts


• Producing management accounts


• Completing sole trader tax returns


• Preparing and submitting VAT returns


• Reviewing work completed by offshore teams to ensure quality and accuracy


• Supporting junior staff and contributing to their development


• Assisting with onboarding new clients as the firm continues to grow

About you

• At least one years’ experience within a public practice environment


• Experience reviewing the work of junior staff


• Proactive, organised and comfortable taking ownership of your work


• Keen to develop and progress within a growing firm
