Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our busy hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food and service, and a solid background in restaurant or hotel environments. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Assistant Manager will play a key part in maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and team management.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager in overseeing daily restaurant or hotel operations to ensure smooth functioning.
- Supervise and motivate team members, including front\-of\-house and kitchen staff, fostering a positive working environment.
- Coordinate food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations.
- Support food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations across all departments.
- Manage staff schedules, organise training sessions, and monitor performance to optimise productivity.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Assist with inventory management, stock control, and ordering supplies as needed.
- Contribute to menu planning and development alongside culinary staff to enhance offerings.
- Uphold hospitality standards by maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the premises.
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.
- Experience in team management and leadership roles with excellent organisational skills.
- Knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations.
- Previous experience in serving or barista roles is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with hospitality standards related to customer service and operational procedures.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast\-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional attitude towards team collaboration and guest interaction.
