Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our busy hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food and service, and a solid background in restaurant or hotel environments. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Assistant Manager will play a key part in maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and team management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Manager in overseeing daily restaurant or hotel operations to ensure smooth functioning.

  • Supervise and motivate team members, including front\-of\-house and kitchen staff, fostering a positive working environment.

  • Coordinate food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations.

  • Support food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations across all departments.

  • Manage staff schedules, organise training sessions, and monitor performance to optimise productivity.

  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.

  • Assist with inventory management, stock control, and ordering supplies as needed.

  • Contribute to menu planning and development alongside culinary staff to enhance offerings.

  • Uphold hospitality standards by maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the premises.
Qualifications
  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.

  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.

  • Experience in team management and leadership roles with excellent organisational skills.

  • Knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations.

  • Previous experience in serving or barista roles is advantageous but not essential.

  • Familiarity with hospitality standards related to customer service and operational procedures.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast\-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication skills with a professional attitude towards team collaboration and guest interaction.
