An exciting opportunity has arisen within Jungheinrich Ireland for you to join our sales team as Asset Manager.
The Role
Reporting to the Enablement Director, the Asset Manager oversees the full lifecycle of new, used and short\-term rental trucks, including batteries, chargers and accessories. The role supports Area Sales Managers by sourcing suitable equipment and ensuring the fleet is optimally structured.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management to include evaluation and management of the local truck fleet to ensure balanced and profitable mix of vehicles.
- Monitor truck turnover rates and ensure appropriate action is taken to address either under or over stock
- Implement pricing strategies to optimise profit margins in accordance with sales steering.
- Perform price management for UE and STR business
- Ensure effective communicate regarding fleet status is maintained with other relevant departments
- Ensure Rental Return Process is coordinated
- Ensure all asset maintenance is carried out in accordance with requirements of the business, liaising with the necessary departments
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards.
- Plan and budget refurbishment of used trucks for a second lifecycle.
- Order, source and purchase new trucks, rental trucks and used trucks from the plant, internally and externally. Cover ad\-hoc demands, peaks and planned demands.
- Determine sales strategy together with Area Sales Manager to ensure rental and used trucks are maximised.
- Evaluate resale values and market conditions to optimise returns on asset disposal.
- Manage truck sourcing/scrappage
- Budget and forecast inventory and asset\-related expenses
- Conduct financial analysis of the asset portfolio, incl. depreciation, devaluation, maintenance, storage, transport cost and ROI.
- Monitoring all key metrics (profitability, utilisation, availability, etc.)
The ideal candidate is a commercially minded, analytical and highly organised professional who takes ownership and delivers results. You will combine strong attention to detail with sound judgement, clear communication and a customer\-focused approach. Adaptable and proactive, you will work effectively both independently and across teams, confidently managing priorities, solving problems and building productive relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
Essential Requirements
- FETAC level 7 Degree or similar in business or related sector
- Min 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Fully computer literate with Microsoft packages, WORD, EXCEL, Outlook, Teams, CoPilot, CRM etc
- Full driving licence with a willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
- Previous experience of working with SAP and or CRM package
- Experience within a similar industry
