About the role
------------------

In this role, you will oversee the stewardship and inspection of building services for stations and station plant assets ensuring they meet policy, technical standards and operational needs. You'll help shape maintenance and renewal priorities, supporting the development of workbanks, plans and investment decisions.

You will produce and refine maintenance and renewal remits, guide the development of schemes, and act as sponsor for more complex or specialist works. You'll also assess risks, contribute to business cases and review proposals from other teams or external stakeholders to ensure plans are safe, functional, compliant, efficient and well¿integrated.

A key part of the role is monitoring asset condition and performance trends, helping to identify issues early and prevent failures. You'll also support incident investigations, liaise with occupiers, tenants, train\-operating\-companies, and stakeholders on compliance matters, and oversee PPM delivery and audits.

Finally, you'll ensure hazardous materials and risks associated with building services assets are properly recorded, controlled and managed in line with current standards.

Your experience and skills
------------------------------

In order to be successful in this role, we would like you to have/to be:

  • HND/HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject

  • Significant relevant experience of operational property engineering

  • Knowledge of policies and standards relating to operational property

  • Working towards membership of a relevant professional institution
We would also like but it isn't crucial to have/to be:
  • Member of a relevant professional body

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject

  • Incorporated or Chartered Engineer
Please note, there may be the requirement to work on\-call and undertake different shift patterns (night shifts / weekends)
