Assembly Operative (Night Shifts)
Fort Vale Engineering Ltd, based in Simonstone are the World Leader in the design and manufacture of valves and fittings for the transportation of bulk liquids in the tank container, road tanker and rail industries. We are currently looking for 3 Assembly Operatives on Night Shift to join the team in our state\-of\-the\-art manufacturing facility.
The Role: Assembly Operative
- Temporary ongoing contract (38 hours per week)
- Predominantly working on Night Shift (Mon to Thurs 10 pm to 07:30 a.m.)
- Assembling components to drawing requirements, fastening parts and subassemblies
- Verify assemblies to drawing requirements
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms
- Use Computer in order to extract data
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good verbal communication and listening skills
- Able to make decisions based on experience, have confidence to act and make changes within given boundaries
- Good personal organisation under pressure from time, internal and external customers
- Time Management Skills
- Computer Literate
- We’re looking for someone who has worked in a manufacturing background, preferably in engineering
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is preferred
