Assembly Manager
As an assembly manager at Matoha, you will help drive the manufacturing our innovative products \- near\-infrared spectrometers to help the world sort out the huge amount of plastic and textile waste. Each tonne of fabric or plastic waste recycled (for which using identification machines such as ours is essential) helps conserve natural resources and prevents pollution from being released \- helping save the planet, one machine at a time.
As we are a startup and a small company, your work will have a real impact \- on the planet and on our company. You will collaborate with our young and dynamic team \- we expect you to be proactive, able to work independently and have a "get it done" spirit.
The work is in person, in our office in London SW9 6DE. The standard working hours are 9am \- 5pm Monday\-Friday \- no night or weekend shifts. There is also some flexibility around these hours and there is no mandatory overtime. We have excellent transport connections \- London Underground (Oval station) is just 3 minutes walk and trains (Vauxhall station) is 15 mins.
Responsibilities:
- Organise \& perform the assembly of our devices
- Stock management, purchasing and planning, using ERP software
- Testing assembled devices (QC)
- Some R\&D tasks, improvements of the process
Must have
- Experience in electronics manufacturing and/or electronics design (3\+ years preferred)
- Relevant electronics or technical education (university preferred)
- High degree of autonomy \& ability to coordinate a small team
- Manual dexterity \- incl. soldering fine circuits
- Professional working English proficiency
- Right to work in the UK (we are unable to sponsor visa)
- Highly organised \& disciplined (e.g. inventory records need to be kept accurately and up to date)
- Understanding of relevant assembly IPC standards and ISO norms
- Understanding of safety/EMC norms, e.g. requirements for CE marking
- Experience with ERP / inventory management systems (software)
- Experience with procurement of parts / electronics
- Electronic test equipment skills
- Electronics design skills (schematic / PCB)
