The Role

You will be involved in the assembly of high\-end HVAC and lighting products, built from custom\-made components produced in\-house using CNC punch and press machinery. The role also includes electrical assembly and wiring work as part of the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assembling precision HVAC and lighting products

  • Carrying out electrical assembly and wiring tasks

  • Operating CNC punch and press machinery

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and written instructions

  • Maintaining high standards of quality and productivity

  • Working collaboratively within a skilled production team
What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking individuals who:

  • Demonstrate high levels of reliability and punctuality
Reliability and attendance are extremely important to us. As a production\-based environment, consistent timekeeping and dependable attendance are essential to maintaining workflow, supporting your team, and meeting customer deadlines.

Desirable skills:

  • Electrical assembly or wiring experience

  • Metalwork experience

  • Production machinery operation

  • Ability to read technical drawings

  • Good practical / DIY skills
Pay, Progression \& Long\-Term Career Opportunities

All new starters begin with a 3\-month full\-time contract. Following a successful review, contracts continue on an ongoing basis, with permanent positions considered after 12 months of successful employment.

After your initial 3 months, you will be assessed using our structured Skills Matrix, which determines your pay grade based on capability, competence, and contribution.

2026 Skills Matrix Pay Grades:

  • Grade 1: £16\.75 per hour

  • Grade 2: £15\.20 per hour

  • Grade 3: £13\.50 per hour

  • Grade 4: £13\.05 per hour

  • Grade 5: £12\.90 per hour

  • Grade 6: £12\.80 per hour

  • Grade 7: £12\.71 per hour
This transparent grading structure provides clear earning potential and progression opportunities as your skills develop.

Leadership Progression

Employees who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and leadership capability may progress to a Team Leader position. Team Leaders receive an additional £1\.00 per hour on top of their Skills Matrix hourly rate, rewarding responsibility and supervisory duties.

This creates a clear pathway from entry\-level assembly through to leadership roles within the production team.

Recruitment Process

Following review of your CV, shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an in\-person interview at Frenger Systems in Pride Park, Derby.

As part of the selection process, candidates will also complete a mechanical and electrical aptitude test to assess practical understanding and suitability for the role.

Working Hours

  • 41\.5 hours per week

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm

  • Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm

  • On\-site role (not remote)
