Aircraft Assembly Operative (Night Shift)

Basildon, Essex

£16.49 per hour + Shift Allowance

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Assembly Operative to join a leading aerospace manufacturing environment on a permanent night shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft components to customer specifications and quality standards


• Work with solid rivets using hand and air riveting tools


• Carry out visual inspections of completed assemblies


• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications


• Use Verniers and specialist measuring equipment accurately


• Adjust and assemble sheet metal components


• Operate air tools including drills, rivet presses and rivet guns


• Apply sealants and work with a variety of engineering materials and finishes


• Ensure products meet precision engineering and aerospace quality requirements

• Previous assembly experience within an engineering or aerospace environment


• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications


• Experience using hand tools, air tools and measuring equipment


• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills


• Ability to work to strict quality, safety and production standards
